Daily Bible Verse - Proverbs 28:1

Writer's picture: Sage DombroskiSage Dombroski

Proverbs 28:1 tells us, "The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion."

This verse emphasizes the importance of boldness in the lives of believers. The wicked, who lack righteousness, are often filled with fear and worry, on guard and ready to run at a hint of trouble. In contrast, the righteous, who live in accordance with God, hold a sense of confidence and fearlessness that is likened to the strength and courage of a lion. Boldness is significant because it enables believers to stand firm in their convictions, to boldly proclaim the truth, and to face challenges and adversity with unwavering faith. By being bold, we can become powerful agents of positive change in our communities and in the lives of those around us. It allows us to step out of our comfort zones and pursue our God-given purposes. Additionally, boldness is crucial in spreading the Gospel and sharing God's love with others. It grants us the courage to engage in difficult conversations, to speak truth in love, and to lead others towards a relationship with Christ. Ultimately, Proverbs 28:1 reminds us that boldness is not an option but an integral characteristic of a righteous life.
